Update (September 2014): Iran’s Ministry of Culture has recently announced that starting from month of October, it will gradually transfer the book auditing duties to those publishing houses who would take the responsibility.

After objections by publishers and writers over the government elimination of book-auditing in favour of self-regulating responsibilities for the publishers, the Minister of Culture has announced that this Rouhani promise has been removed from the government’s agenda.
